Peter and Marian Draugalis have owned and operated Draugalis Photography since 1992.
Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Draugalis photography specializes in fine portraiture,
including weddings, high school seniors, families, children and pets.
They started the photography business after many years in human services, where
they worked extensively with families and children. With a BA & MA in Social Work
and Sociology, Pete spent 25 years in juvenile justice. It was the Juvenile Court
Administrators position that brought him to Ann Arbor in 1985. It was his love of
photography and people that led to his second (and favorite) career. This passion
shows through in all his portraiture.
Marian has an MA in communications and prior to joining Pete in their photography
business, pursued her own artwork creating clay and fabric figures. A display of her
work is part of the permanent art collection in the lobby of the Comprehensive Cancer
Center at the University of Michigan Hospital. Marian's new art form is emerging
through digital photography and fine art printing. You'll find touches of her artistic
talent as you look around the studio.
In March 2003, they moved to their new spacious studio at 573 State Circle, just
south of I-94 off State Street. Please feel free to visit and explore the gallery of
